About Us
Our Purpose
Project Sabr brings people together to serve neighbors facing hardship — with dignity, consistency, and care.
Our Story
Project Sabr began with a simple conviction: caring about our community means showing up for it.Founded in Los Angeles by Danish “Danny” Haider, Project Sabr brings people together around one shared purpose: Serve Humanity. We believe that every person deserves dignity, compassion, and opportunity, regardless of race, religion, background, or circumstance. For approximately three years, we have put that belief into practice through volunteer-led outreach across Los Angeles. We have provided meals and essential supplies to people experiencing homelessness, organized food drives for low-income families, and conducted free healthcare checkups. Through youth programs, mentorship, and career-development support, we have also created opportunities for people to learn, connect, and work toward their next chapter. These experiences have shaped our understanding of service. A meal can meet an immediate need. A conversation can help someone feel heard. A mentor can offer encouragement and direction. Each matters—and each reminds us that people need both support today and opportunities for tomorrow. That understanding continues to shape Project Sabr. We want to build relationships that last beyond an event and create a community where people can contribute in different ways. Some give their time. Others share professional skills, donate supplies, or open doors to new partnerships. Together, those contributions make consistent service possible. Our name carries the spirit of that commitment. Sabr means patience and perseverance. To us, it means staying committed when progress takes time, listening before assuming we have the answer, and continuing to show up with care and respect. As we grow, our direction is guided by five pillars: food security, addiction recovery and rehabilitation, community health and wellness, youth empowerment and development, and adult career development. We are strengthening our established work while building the partnerships, resources, and leadership needed to expand these pillars
